Training is based on a combination of classical techniques
following a graded syllabus for each level to develop correct physical
alignment as well as grace and rhythm of movement. Our focus is on
teaching the discipline of classical ballet technique in a
non-competitive environment. Students who wish to perform will be
offered performance opportunities through the year. At the upper
levels, Modern Dance, and other Ethnic Dance forms are offered to
further broaden the student’s understanding of movement.
In addition, the studio offers
instruction in the Pilates method and the Alexander Technique. Pilates,
a favorite of dancers for over 60 years, builds core strength while
lengthening and toning muscles. TheAlexander Technique helps to
prevent injuries and reduce tension, as it improves awareness,
coordination, placement, balance, and stage presence. Cathy Hazeltine Fallon applies her extensive knowledge of
anatomy and movement potential to help dancers with "less than perfect ballet bodies" to gain
an understanding of how to access more turnout, to lengthen their
classical line, and to dance with greater freedom and enjoyment.
Studio Ballet of Hudson students have gone on to dance at professional training programs, including Boston Ballet, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre, Mercyhurst
College, and University of Utah. They have been accepted to summer intensives at:

In addition to Studio Ballet of Hudson productions, they have performed in Nutcrackers with: Jose Mateo Ballet Theater, Worcester School of the Performing Arts, Ballet Arts Worcester, Franklin Performing Arts, Boston Dance Company, in Christmas Reflections, and with Dance Prism’s many productions.
