  Studio Ballet Of Hudson
is dedicated to teaching the artistry of classical ballet and other techniques, along with the joy and beauty of dancing. Our professional faculty provides beginning to advanced training for both serious and recreational students of all ages.  Our goal is to inspire dancers through caring and careful instruction.

Training is based on a combination of classical techniques following a graded syllabus for each level to develop correct physical alignment as well as grace and rhythm of movement. Our focus is on teaching the discipline of classical ballet technique in a non-competitive environment. Students who wish to perform will be offered performance opportunities through the year. At the upper levels, Modern Dance, and other Ethnic Dance forms are offered to further broaden the student’s understanding of movement.

In addition, the studio offers instruction in the Pilates method and the Alexander Technique. Pilates, a favorite of dancers for over 60 years, builds core strength while lengthening and toning muscles.  The Alexander Technique helps to prevent injuries and reduce tension, as it improves awareness, coordination, placement, balance, and stage presence. Cathy Hazeltine Fallon applies her extensive knowledge of the dancer's anatomy to help dancers with "less than perfect ballet bodies" to gain an understanding of how to access more turnout, to lengthen their classical line, and to dance with greater freedom through improved alignment.

Studio Ballet of Hudson students have attended: American Ballet Theatre’s Summer Course, Joffrey Ballet’s New York Summer Course, Boston Ballet’s Summer Course, Burklyn Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet School, Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre School, and Mercyhurst College. They have performed with: Jose Mateo Ballet Theater’s Nutcracker, A Dancer’s Christmas, Boston Dance Company’s Nutcracker, Sterling Community Theatre, and with Dance Prism’s many productions.
